WP1 - Awareness campaign Objectives
- Make as many people as possible aware of the European Researchers' Night and its objectives
- Attract as large as possible a number of organisations to the events organized.
- Organizing pre-events during spring and summer 2020 aiming at attracting the attention of a larger audience on ERN – with a specific regard to students and pupils - and to train researchers to communicate efficiently to the general audience
- Promoting the importance of individual citizens’ sustainable behaviours which could contribute to the global actions on climate change

Activities
Offline communication activities
- National press conference to promote the Italian ERN projects in collaboration with all the other ERN projects (European Researchers' Night)
- Press release at the beginning of the summer to promote the project and the main pre-events; press releases, one week before the ERN, at local and national level to present the ERN Interviews with researchers broadcast on local radio, TV stations, NET TV Channel
- Creation and distribution of posters, brochures, flyers, roll-ups, banners, T-shirts and gadgets;
- Advertising two weeks before ERN in Rome, Viterbo and other places
- Pre-events: "waiting for the NET Night"
Online communication activities:
- Update and improvement of the existing site www.scienzainsieme.it
- Awareness campaign through the websites and social media accounts of the partners of the consortium of institutional communication channels of MIUR and MATTM (Ministry of the Environment, Land and Sea)
- Creation of the thematic channel on UNINETTUNO's Web TV and transmission of video material via satellite on UNINETTUNOUNIVERSITY.TV
- Creation of the multimedia repository within the website with all multimedia content on scientific topics divided by user target
- Campaign on existing social media accounts of the site "ScienzeInsieme"
- Creation and diffusion of the video-teaser of the NET project
- Creation of a video "Stories of researchers" broadcast on social media NET and on the thematic channel NET TV.
- Creation and dissemination of ERN promotional videos
- Email campaign (160,000 students, high schools)

WP2 - Activities during the NIGHT Objectives
- Offering to all the categories of audience, regardless of age and scientific background, a range of activities as broad as possible:
- Directly and actively involving both researchers and audience;
- Combining entertainment and "education to science through researchers" in a balanced way;
- Support researchers through the process of designing, realizing and performing of edutainment activities;
- Contributing to enhancing the public recognition and appraisal of researchers and their work;
- Focusing on adding the value of the European dimension in funding the research and dealing with global issues such as climate change<>

WP3 - Impact assessment Objectives:
- Assessing the impact of the NIGHT event, quantitatively and qualitatively
- Identifying the types of activities which are the most successful regarding the main aims of the event

Activties:
- Acquisition and analysis of raw quantitative data (The data collected will concern the number of participants of each event, the number of researchers involved, the number of promotional items displayed, the number of views on the website and the number of followers on social media accounts)
- Creation, definition, administration and analysis of CAWI (computer assisted web interviewing) and CAPI (Computer Assisted Personal Interview) questionnaires
- Sentiment analysis or opinion mining
- General analysis of the results
