Summary

The project aims to support the digital and innovative transformation of Vocational Education and Training (VET) on Blockchain, as well as contribute to a higher employment rate in this sector by strengthening the digital skills of students and teachers.

Description

The Blockchain is a technological structure consisting of a digital ledger capable of permanently storing a record of data. It is typically illustrated as a growing sequence of interconnected "blocks." Once written, the data cannot be retroactively altered. Known particularly as the underlying technology for cryptocurrencies, which have become highly popular, especially in the last decade, blockchain has a broad range of applications and can be utilized in various sectors such as business, finance, food, health, etc. Furthermore, it forms the technological infrastructure of cryptocurrencies, which have gained significant popularity and widespread use in recent years. It has been estimated that by 2025, approximately 10% of the global GDP will be generated by systems based on blockchain. Despite such potential, the available Vocational Education curricula are currently not compatible with the evolution of blockchain. This peculiarity has created a gap in the job market.

The present project aims to support the digital and innovative transformation of Vocational Education and Training (VET) on blockchain, as well as contribute to a higher employment rate in this sector by enhancing the digital skills of students and teachers.

Objectives

The main objective of the project is to contribute to the digital and innovative transformation of Vocational Education and Training (VET), with a specific focus on Blockchain.
