UPM is the oldest and largest Spanish technical university, with more than 4.000 faculty members, around 38.000 undergraduate students and 6.000 postgraduates in 21 Schools of study. The Telecommunications School of UPM (GATV) brings extensive experience in the networked media area and innovation for the digital media ecosystem. Its main research lines as Visual communications, Signal Processing, Recommendation Systems, Video coding, Telecommunications Systems, Computer vision and Digital video processing are fully aligned with the Project. Role
Role in the Project
UPM will be mainly involved in development activities in the project. In particular, UPM will lead WP3, being in charge of defining a complete methodology for users’ skills and needs match making by means of deep learning techniques, service recommendation and migrants follow-up in the project environment interaction. Moreover, according to its wide expertize in interaction optimization through personalization techniques, UPM will be also involved in the digital companion development, providing its knowledge in the different tasks related to the multilinguality through multimedia solutions (WP4).
