As for every World Summit for Peace, this year too, the International Telematic University UNINETTUNO is media partner of the World Summit of the Nobel Peace Laureates, now at its XI edition. The Conference that will be held in Hiroshima from the 12th to the 14th November 2010 is entitled: “The Legacy of Hiroshima: a World without Nuclear Weapons” and will see the participation of 20 Nobel Peace Laureates coming from the entire world. Mikhail Gorbachev, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Frederik Willem De Klerk, Lech Walesa, Mohamed ElBaradei, Mairead Corrigan Maguire, Shirin Ebadi, Jody Williams are only a few names of those attending.

On Wednesday, the 13th October, at 7:00 pm, in the premises of the Embassy of Egypt in Italy His Excellency the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Ashraf Rashed, meets the first 15 Egyptian students of the International Telematic University UNINETTUNO (UTIU) that, at the end of a training period in some Italian companies working in the innovation field, will get a double degree title recognised in Italy, in Europe and in Egypt.

UNIDO and UNINETTUNO join hands for the benefit of SMEs in the region
|
The UNIDO project “Enterprise Development and Investment Promotion for the SME sector in Iraq” was launched in the year 2007 with funds made available by the Italian Cooperation for Development to provide capacity building to Iraqi institutions and private sector to promote investment in the country in collaboration with the “Arab Regional Centre for Entrepreneurship and Investment Training (ARCEIT)”.
The fist phase of the program has been successfully completed in Iraq providing support to 348 entrepreneurs and training 115 Iraqi experts in enterprise development. Based on the results, the Italian Cooperation Development has provided additional funds of $2.9 Million to reinforce and expand the programme. In this regard, UNIDO and ARCEIT joined hands with UNINETTUNO, an international telematic university to realize distance education programs on issues related to Enterprise Development and Investment Promotion by means of ICTs.

Italy-Egypt Cooperation aimed at Human Resources Training and Professionalisation

Rome the 13th September 2010. The first Arab students, who for the first time will get a degree recognised in Europe and in Egypt, are arriving in Italy. Thanks to the cooperation agreements between the Italian and the Egyptian Governments and between the International Telematic University UNINETTUNO and the Helwan University in Cairo. The first 15 students of the Arab World enrolled in the degree course in Information and Communication Technologies Engineering of the International Telematic University UNINETTUNO will then obtain a double study title that will enable them to work in Egypt, in Italy and in Europe.

On Monday, the 3rd May 2010, in Rome, at 3:00 pm, in the premises of the UTIU, Corso Vittorio Emanuele II n.39, there will be the signature of an agreement between the UTIU – International Telematic University UNINETTUNO and the OUHK – The Open University of Hong Kong.
The agreement between the two distance-telematic universities will be signed by the Rector of the UTIU, Prof. Maria Amata Garito and the President of the OUHK, Prof. Chi Yan John Leong, is the first step of a partnership path that will lead to the inclusion of the Master of Laws in Chinese Business Law, produced and realised by the OUHK, into the UTIU educational offer, and of the Master’s course in European Law and Policies, produced and realised by the UTIU, into OUHK educational offer.
