The ICDE » International Council for Open and Distance Education. The theme of the Conference is “Mobilizing Distance Education for social justice and innovation”, that is to say, contributing to mobilize distance education in its many modalities and forms to build and transfer knowledge aimed at the achievement of the value targets for the societies that defend innovation and social justice.

The Rector of the International Telematic University UNINETTUNO, Prof. Maria Amata GARITO, spoke on March 8, at 4.30PM in the framework of the Session 2, dedicated to: Social Justice & Distance Education. The speech is entitled: “Best and New models for cooperative & work-integrated education”. The conference is jointly organized by the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED) and the International Council for Open and Distance Education (ICDE).

The aim of the Conference is to bring together Academic Institutions, Institutes of Distance Education et al., that apply the methodologies of open and distance learning, as well as to provide a space where academics, teachers, researchers, policy-makers, social and economic operators, can collaborate and discuss ways of knowledge creation and transfer in order to build an inclusive, smart and successful society.
